Hi, I’m Kenya — Welcome to Truthful Reflections Counseling.
I’m so glad you’re here. I show up in this space not just as a therapist, but as a real person — a partner, a mom to two incredible kids, and a proud dog-mom. Home is my peaceful place, and it’s where I do a lot of my own reflecting, healing, and growing.
The heart of this work, for me, is truth. I don’t believe in pretending to have it all figured out. Life is complex — relationships, parenting, emotions, healing — I’m moving through those layers too. I believe in therapy because I live it. My own therapist is a part of my support system. I show up here not as someone with all the answers, but as someone doing the work alongside you.
My background in education led me here; however, my passion grew when I saw how powerful it was to walk with people as they rediscover themselves. I use a mix of approaches — CBT, Written Exposure Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing — guided by both training and life experience. More than anything, I’ll meet you where you are, because you’re the expert in your own story.
Let’s take this journey together — with honesty, reflection, and growth. You don’t have to do it alone. I’m here with you.

Real Hands. Real Healing.
The Truthful Reflections logo—my hand holding my son’s—symbolizes the healing that began with motherhood. It reflects my commitment to breaking cycles, embracing growth, and walking with others on their path to emotional healing.
At Truthful Reflections Counseling, we offer a grounded, judgment-free space where you can show up as you are. We believe that healing begins with honesty and that real growth happens when you’re seen, heard, and supported with compassion and accountability.
Our mission is to help you explore your story, uncover your truth, and reconnect with your most authentic self. Through honest reflection, meaningful conversation and intentional connection; we walk beside you as you navigate life’s challenges and move toward lasting change.
This is a space for real people, real healing, and real transformation.

Real Tools. Real Growth.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Sometimes our thoughts get loud and messy. CBT helps you figure out where those thoughts come from, how they affect how you feel and act, and how to start shifting them in a way that actually helps—not hurts.
Written Exposure Therapy (WET)
Some things are hard to say out loud—and that’s okay. WET is a way to work through painful experiences by writing them out, one step at a time. No pressure, just a safe space to start healing through words.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Change is hard—even when you want it. MI helps you sort through the mixed feelings, find your “why,” and take steps that feel doable and real for where you’re at right now.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness isn’t about “staying calm” all the time—it’s about paying attention to what’s really going on inside, without beating yourself up for it. Slowing down. Being present. Actually feeling your feelings, not just avoiding them.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
If your emotions feel like they’re constantly on high volume, DBT gives you tools to turn things down. It’s about learning to manage the intense stuff—without shutting yourself down.
